drawing with oil pastels, mel's diner, the death of tony soprano, the volvo art show, visiting my parents, headlines, lawn signs, western movies, etc.

In my drawing dream I made you green
   the shadows aquamarine toothpaste
colour hates its names
more than a pale body
the last of the blue smoked in the window frame
which collapsed pandemoniously.

He drives a white convertible vintage Mercedes
is his daughter or girlfriend
The man who looks like a TV mobster
gets out of a car & climbs the stairs to Annex Billiard Club
the shadows cut with a putty knife
"kids cower as guns blaze"
last night I was pre-lingual     "welcome to our funny-farm"
east end of west-bound      son
you make me so hot I want to throw up
The waitstaff is talking renovation "we could double our profit"
I'll stop coming.

The door is closed      I am locked in      it is early
& nearly light .    It is uncontrollable birth
it happens on porches on summer nights
it is the suspense of a slow-moving man
    with a white hat
who won't stop believing until the black
blackness     just that      engine oil drips
I can see it in the script    we measure the angles and speculate
no more classic rock     tell the geologists
The king of the dinosaurs     eclipsed
out like blinking.

morning on the bus
morning on the bus
they have names like us
but are not like us
at the east-end of westbound     pick up a lottery ticket
maybe win, probably already lost
bagels & lox book seats fix email
Hi Mom . Bye Dad
    N O    B E E R    H E R E
    viagra?     falls
