For Ken

This morning     feeling
       exuberant
       and hungry

old coffee / wasn't hot / poured it back in-to / the pot

"it is 10 o'clock, overcast, and eighteen degrees"

       look outside

"moronic and metronomic"    no, the trouble Ken is
       (too many metaphors)
               & NO DYNAMICS

well           you're here
       and we both       like company

*
AT "The Communist's Daughter"

Johnny B:
"been stealin' mama     don't you tell on me"

well Sam plays a great slinky &

boots the black tambourine
then

the girl behind the counter steps out and sings

       "an angel's kiss in spring"

nice tats     pipes       no pierces

listen:

"if you don't believe I loved you
       what a fool I've been
if you don't believe I'm sinking
       what a hole I'm in"

fine, that's stealin'     and lyin', I'm fine

it's a map of the world!    and old-timey

they come in     roll this joint       she's in pink
his name is Stacey       at our table, subtly
"Honey, I can fit in anywhere. I love everybody"

*

fashion beauty    in the home      in the mail     mall

                     he makes me "feel hard"

if his work is meaty then I'm a vegetarian

Vegan

"and the dogs he fed will devour his flesh"

bower power     bulbous sunflower

"the fruits of being patient are very sweet"

"strawberries cherries and"

we live in an age of greatness and gore      every minute coins $5 words

the future is closer than in older days, and golder

the unlucky have a new dictator

he's evil and may never die        it's hard working every day

(I'm glad I don't)

point your fireworks at someone else     and theories

because the good can't be left out
in black garbage bags      overnight &
in the early morning rain

"god forgives and DJANGO — " nay

NO DYNAMICS

"too much said, too little to say"
