The Creative Class War/Room
"… it has become again what it was in the beginning:
the esoteric wisdom of small groups of men out of
touch with life and without any influence on it."
- Gershom Scholem, "General Characteristics of Jewish Mysticism"
On a green slope, under a blank blue
life swings its arms and legs and bats
and curated cultural commentary
fouls the hotbed, then proffers polish
applied, obviously, with the universal tongue.
Out of nothing, nothing will come
and so this must be an emanation.
Something to get tangled up in, before fire or flood
or medicinal apathy punctures
the live event — or brightly-coloured clothing
suggests a civilian presence, the children's screeching
muted on the console in Creech Air Force Base, Nevada
where "inaccurate and unprofessional"
(not to say predatory) reportage drones on.
